A Guide to Buying the Right Horse
Posted by Kelly Cook Renfroe on 2nd Nov 2011
Terri is able to dive deep into the psyche of a horse and translate to the reader what the horse’s needs are. Through her wisdom that she shares in the book, the reader can improve on their horsemanship. She covers many aspects in the book from laying out the groundwork with a new horse to being able to train a horse you may have had for years. The book even has a bonus section, A Guide to Buying the Right Horse, this should be read by anyone who is thinking of purchasing a horse. Anyone involved with horses from a novice to an experienced person can benefit from reading this book. I have had horses for 30 plus years and this book is an example of why people say “you can learn something new every day”.

This is a well written, easy to understand book that explains the natural horsemanship concepts more clearly than many other books I have read. Not a how to book but one that makes you think of your part in your horses behavior. I especially liked the energy and leadership chapters. In my personal journey to improve my horses the info rang true to me. I needed to improve my interactions with them first. Well worth the time to read. I only with it was offered in paper too.
